IAHD是一个非盈利组织，其目的是促进制订和实施计划，培训残疾人进行潜水。自1993年成立以来，至今已培养了1500多名IAHD教练，他们分布于世界各地，致力让身体有残疾的人参与到潜水运动中来。至今，他们已经让从多残疾人体验了潜水
运动的乐趣，其中有500多名残疾人成为潜水员。

The First IAHD training course was held in Haikou.
In order to develop and helping disable person to become a
certified diver, Zhanjiang Diving School together with Hainan FEIDA Diving
Services Company Limited held the first IAHD Instructor training course in
China. IAHD Chairman Mr. Klass Brower was invited to supervise the training.
A total of 9 students attended the training. Mr Zhao Zhi Feng,
Huang Peng, Hu Xuan Yu, Guo Jin Qiang , Cao Wei, Wang Kai Tao, and Ms Qiu Xia
obtained the IAHD Dive Instructor certificates. Fu Yue Qin and Xue Xiao Qin
obtained the IAHD Dive Partner certification. In addition, disabled people Che
Wei Wen, Liu Hai Bin participated in the course, and obtained the IAHD Scuba
Experience certificates.
